Final countdown to 2013 Dec 30: In the company of old friends

Today, we had visitors at the house of Attwood (also known as Attwood Towers) in the form of my Mother’s friend Laura and her daughter Megan.

I recieved from them, for christmas, from the two chocolate (when I am supposed to be cutting down, but I think i’ll manage to get through one Bar) and 10 english pounds. And I say thanks for that.

Anywho, I’ve known Megan since we were babies, so since 1997 (In fact, I’m four months older) and we have been friends ever since. We have grown up together, we have aged together but we have stayed friends for a very long time. That is quite an achievement that I am very proud of, and I hope to stay in contact with her for many years to come.

The two of them came after lunch, and we had a catch up (well my mum and Laura did because they’ve been friends since Senior school), and that was fun.

I think it’s good that people can manage to maintain friendship for, what has been so far for me, a lifetime. It shows that you can make anything last, even for many years.

I will have more tomorrow, probably an overview of 2012 on the whole, and then the last blog, which will probably be about the NEW YEAR PARTY.It’s nearly the end of the ‘countdown December 2012’ series, two more posts and then a retrospective of the blogs on the twelfth night.
